Tetravalent Group 14 Derivatives of a Bulky Aminocarbazole

نویسندگان

چکیده

Stepwise metalation and metathesis reactions with a bulky aminocarbazole were conducted to prepare derivatives of tetravalent group 14 elements. These regarded as putatively suitable precursors for the formation doubly bonded 14/group 15 molecules such imino species. Starting from an N-aminocarbazole, deprotonation benzyl potassium formed corresponding solvent-free dimeric amide. Metathesis EBr4 (E=Si, Ge, Sn) afforded RN(H)EBr3. Deprotonation RN(SiMe3)H monomeric amide RN(SiMe3)K which was then treated SiCl4, GeBr4 SnI4. Both obtained series compounds, RN(H)EBr3 RN(SiMe3)EX3, characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy SCXRD studies.

Extremely bulky amido-group 14 element chloride complexes: potential synthons for low oxidation state main group chemistry.

The preparation of a series of extremely bulky secondary amines, Ar*N(H)SiR(3) (Ar* = C(6)H(2){C(H)Ph(2)}(2)Me-2,6,4; R(3) = Me(3), MePh(2) or Ph(3)) is described. Their deprotonation with either LiBu(n), NaH or KH yields alkali metal amide complexes, several monomeric examples of which, [Li(L){N(SiMe(3))(Ar*)}] (L = OEt(2) or THF), [Na(THF)(3){N(SiMe(3))(Ar*)}] and [K(OEt(2)){N(SiPh(3))(Ar*)],...

Binding and functional properties of concanavalin A and its derivatives. I. Monovalent, divalent, and tetravalent derivatives stable at physiological pH.

The binding of concanavalin A to various structures via hydrophobic interactions has been studied using a variety of physicochemical assays. It was found that concanavalin A binds to nonpolar compounds such as the plant auxin beta-indoleacetic acid and its structural analogue tryptophan and that this binding is independent of the saccharide-binding activity normally associated with the lectin. ...

Tetravalent Graphs Admitting Half-Transitive Group Actions: Alternating Cycles

In this paper we study finite, connected, 4-valent graphs X which admit an action of a group G which is transitive on vertices and edges, but not transitive on the arcs of X. Such a graph X is said to be (G, 1 2)-transitive. The group G induces an orientation of the edges of X, and a certain class of cycles of X (called alternating cycles) determined by the group G is identified as having an im...

Extremely bulky amide ligands in main group chemistry.

The search for extremely sterically demanding monodentate amide ligands to access main group complexes in low-coordination numbers and highly reactive bonding modes is an area of intense research interest. The recent development of three classes of sterically demanding, monodentate amide ligands - the m-terphenyl anilides [N(R){C6H3Ar2-2,6}](-) (Ar = aryl, R = H, methyl, silyl), substituted car...
